🛠️ Areas of Responsibility / Job Description

The Chairman WAPDA will be responsible for:

1. Planning and oversight of water resource development and power generation across Pakistan under WAPDA’s constitutional and operational mandates.
2. Acting as the Chief Executive Officer of WAPDA, managing all technical, financial, and administrative matters.
3. Coordinating with federal/provincial departments, international donors, ministries, and agencies for the execution and monitoring of water and power projects.
4. Ensuring compliance with WAPDA’s founding legal framework (WAPDA Act 1958, amended up to Act 2003).
5. Managing project planning, budgeting, finance, HR, and procurement functions of the organization.
6. Ensuring on-time and cost-effective completion of mega infrastructure projects such as dams, hydropower stations, and water supply systems.
